Antennas · wireless networking
A rugged 5 GHz outdoor base station is provided by the Tenda B6, offering N300 wireless speeds to support long-range point-to-point (PtP) and point-to-multipoint (PtMP) links. With dual external RP-SMA antenna connectors, signal reach is enhanced and flexible antenna options are allowed, so a stronger directional or sector antenna may be attached to suit connection distance or environment. Operation is made cleaner via passive PoE, enabling both power and data to be delivered over a single cable, reducing installation complexity.
Weather-resistance and electrical protection are emphasized. The B6 is built in an IP65 enclosure that guards against rain and dust; lightning surge protection is included to prevent damage from electrical storms. Wireless interference is reduced through features such as channel bandwidth selection (10/20/30/40 MHz) and channel shift, which help when neighbouring wireless networks or signals cause contention. Multiple operating modes are allowed — AP, Station, WISP, P2MP, WDS, and repeater—to adapt to different deployment scenarios like rural ISP backhaul, outdoor surveillance, or extending coverage in large open spaces.

Conclusion
Performance and durability are combined in the Tenda B6 Outdoor Base-Station, making it suitable for outdoor wireless bridging, rural ISP links, CCTV systems, or any deployment where stable 5 GHz connectivity over distance is required. Long-range performance is enabled by external antenna support and PoE, while weather resistance and surge protection ensure uptime in challenging environments. For installations where wired backbone is hard to run, or where interference on lower frequency bands is heavy, reliable wireless connectivity is provided.
